Assistive devices

If you have a disability or injury, you may require a number of assistive devices to help you with your ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). Assistive devices are tools, products or types of equipment that may help you move around, see, communicate, eat, do your housekeeping duties or get dressed. Some are high-tech tools, such as computers. Others are much simpler, like a "reacher" - a tool that helps you grab an object you can't reach.

A health care practitioner may recommend you several different assistive devices in order to reduce risk of injury re-occurence and to assist you with your recovery process.
